Teaching

I teach ethics, bioethics, and introductory philosophy in both in-person and asynchronous formats. My courses begin with familiar practices and experiences, then ask students to identify the philosophical questions that those practices conceal.

My teaching emphasizes discussion, intellectual independence, and structured development of philosophical writing. In asynchronous Ethics courses, students develop larger assignments through peer response and revision rather than submitting a single finished product. Across formats, I use short reflective assignments, staged papers, films, and applied cases to help students connect abstract arguments with ordinary moral life.
